Planning and Surveillance is a department within the Emergency Preparedness and Response Division at the Tulsa City-County Health Department. Our primary responsibilities include:
- Identifying and planning for local emergencies of a public health nature
- Assessing community needs and hazards
- Responding to disasters, and
- Protecting the health of the citizens of Tulsa County
An integral part of our job is to look at local health data and identify trends and deviations from normal states of health. The purpose of this website is to share surveillance data with the public and to help them get a better understanding of illness patterns in the community.
